About PNV

Polio Network Victoria this year is no longer under the auspices of Independence

Australia, founding body Paraquad Victoria. We have become an incorporated body dedicated to supporting polio survivors around the state.

Read our history on the About Us page and find where your nearest support group might be on the Contact page.

Polio Perspectives has been published quarterly since 1988, keeping polio survivors in touch with latest news and solutions for managing the late effects of polio. In this age of technology we continue to provide a print edition, but also a full colour e-edition. To receive PP by mail or email, go to our contact page. Read the Autumn edition out now on the PP page!

Polio Day 2019

Polio Day is our main event annually, bringing survivors, friends, family together either in a regional or metropolitan location. This year was Warrnambool's turn. For a report and pictures of a great day at Lady Bay resort to go the Polio Perspectives Page.

Mind and Body

The late effects of polio and/or Post Polio Syndrome are still a puzzle for many health professionals. So it is up to us to learn as much as we can about what is going wrong and how best to manage the changes. This page (Yet to be constructed) offers recent information on mental and physical challenges. Please let us know what you need to know and we will find an expert to help.
